Albie van Buel joined Vestas 2012 as Group Senior Vice President for Global Procurement and plays a critical role to secure Vestas leading position in the renewable energy solutions sector.
Albie van Buel has a 20+ year background in the Automotive Industry within supply management for Volvo and Ford Motor Company and member of the executive management team of Volvo Car Corporation until 2008.
From 2008 to 2012 Albie van Buel has been member or Philips Lighting Management team responsible for the transformation of purchasing in the Sector Lighting.
He holds a master degree in Business and Strategic Management, as well as a degree in business economics.
Marc Hendrikse is CEO of the NTS-Group, a leading system supplier operating in the high-tech industry that takes on the responsibility for opto-mechatronic systems and mechanical modules for leading international OEM’s. Next to his role as CEO, Marc Hendrikse is chairman of the Dutch Governmental High Tech Systems and Materials Top Team.
Harold Goddijn is a Dutch national. Having studied Economics at Amsterdam University, Harold started his career with a venture capital firm. He then founded Psion Netherlands BV in 1989 and in 1991 co-founded TomTom. He continued to lead Psion Netherlands BV, developing it into a key European distributor for Psion. In 1998 he became Managing Director of Psion Computers and served on the Board of Psion Plc from 1998 to 1999. Harold was appointed Chief Executive Officer of TomTom in 2001.
Carlo van de Weijer (1966) has a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from the TU Eindhoven and a PhD degree with honors from Technical University in Graz. He carries a broad experience in automotive industry with a.o. executive positions at Siemens and TomTom. Currently he is director of the Strategic Area Smart Mobility at Eindhoven University of Technology, alongside his work for TomTom. He advises ministries and industry around the world on the future of mobility and is member of the supervisory board of several high-tech companies and start-ups.
Herr Johannes Barckmann studierte Industrie Design an der University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover, graduierte (1988) als Diplom Designer und startete seinen beruflichen Werdegang bei BMW und eckard design GmbH.
Seit 1992 ist er bei EDAG als Head of DESIGNSTUDIO verantwortlich für die weltweiten Design Aktivitäten des Unternehmens.
In diesem Bereich ist EDAG als unabhängiger Entwicklungspartner für die internationale Automobilindustrie sowohl im Exterieur- als auch im Interieur-Design tätig, erregt konstant große Aufmerksamkeit durch visionäre Fahrzeugkonzepte und ist Stiftermitglied im Rat für Formgebung.
Darüber hinaus ist Herr Barckmann als Lehrbeauftragter an internationalen Design-Hochschulen und Akademien, als Fachbeirat des CTI und als Jury-Mitglied bei internationalen Design-Wettbewerben aktiv.
Leo Kusters is recently working as managing director of AutomotiveNL, the Dutch cluster organisation of companies, knowledge and educational institutes and government agencies engaged in innovations in the Automotive and Mobility domain. The last 7 years he has been working as Managing Director of one of the 5 themes of TNO (Urbanisation and Transport and Mobility). With 3000 employees TNO is the largest independent applied research organisation in the Netherland and one of largest in Europe. In his first period within TNO he has been responsible for the automotive activities and initiated the research on automatic driving and ADAS system, including the first laboratory (worldwide) dedicated to that subject in 2003. In this period he experienced the potential and complexity of automated driving to the full. He has a background in engineering and started his career at the development department of DAF trucks (being responsible for testing). Leo is member of the board of Connekt (ITS Netherlands) and president of the board of Prime Vision (a company delivering solutions for logistic automation). In the recent past he held board positions in organisations like Dinalog (Dutch cluster organisation on logistic innovation) , EARPA (European cluster organisation on Automotive Research) and AutomotiveNL. During his career so far he was engaged in many international projects for both industry and government, some of them leading to new companies.
Edwin Kingma is Subsidiary Manager of FEV Netherlands BV and responsible for the newly founded subsidiary in Eindhoven and FEV’s business contacts in the region.
Edwin graduated from Automotive Engineering in 2003.
During his professional life he has covered positions in automotive development from project engineer up to department leader.
Mark has long track record within the automotive industry, having worked from the OEM side at Volvo Cars as well as from the supplier side at Bosch. From within Flanders Make he now brings innovation towards the industry.
Steffen Wonder has served as a Senior Director Corporate Engineering & R&D since 2018. He manages and directs core product group.
In this role Wonder is responsible for identifying the relevant trends and supporting the technology strategy.
Wonder joined Magna in 2000 in the complete vehicle engineering for Magna Steyr in Graz. For 10 years he worked within the complete vehicle department as project manager for several complete vehicle projects.
Wonder joined Magna International in 2010 as the technical Assistant to the CTO. Since 2013 Wonder is working for the Corporate R&D in several positions.
Bas Verkaik is an MSc student Sustainable Energy Technology at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Besides his study program, he was part of the STORM Eindhoven team, which drove around the world in 80 days on a revolutionary electric motorcycle. Bas also co-founded the STORM spinoff SPIKE that is developing a standardized electric powertrain that can be used by different small vehicle manufacturers.
Peter de Vos, 1962, HBO WTB, CEO van VDL Steelweld Group Breda. Al sinds 1965 is VDL Steelweld als veelzijdig internationaal bedrijf actief op het gebied van productieautomatisering, systeembouw en parkeersystemen. De Vos is sinds 1990 werkzaam bij VDL Steelweld Breda. In 2003 aangesteld als adjunct directeur, sinds 2007 aangesteld als CEO van de VDL Steelweld Group met vestigingen in UK, Duitsland, Zweden, Roemenie, Slowakije en daarnaast in China, USA en India.
Björn Maaß is a spatial planner and has been working in public and private urban transformation projects in recent years. He is now head of the Smart City and Urban Mobility team at MHP.
